Event Photography

As a contributor for 501 LIFE Magazine and a social media manager for Harding University, I have been fortunate to gain access to countless events as a media guest. I have been able to experience these events up close and capture them from the point of view of the other people experiencing it with me. All photos pictured here were published either in 501 LIFE or on Harding University’s social media.

Nature & Travel Photography

Coming from a family who visits a new place every summer for vacation, I have been able to capture landscapes from big cities to national parks and waterfalls off the beaten path — thank you, Tim Earnst. I love capturing the places I visit so that I can go back and remember in detail the things I experienced from tourists attractions to specific meals. Whether its because of restoration or destruction, having captured moments that could never be recreated makes my work feel even more special.

Portrait Photography

As a storyteller, I love capturing the story someone can tell with their eyes. I also love capturing people during some of the most happy times in their lives, whether that is graduation, an engagement, a wedding day or a new phase of life. I have been able to mentor and shoot with some great photographers in central Arkansas, learning not only the technical skills, but the meaning and importance behind capturing these moments in the lives of other people. Since moving from central Arkansas, I spend more time capturing my own family’s moments. Dogs count as portrait models, too right?

While I am not actively pursuing photography professionally at the moment, you can still view my photography website at megannicholephotography.com.
